TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND MENTORING

MISSION: BELL educates, advocates for and funds small, minority, rural and woman-owned businesses in Maryland that have been denied capital. BELL ensures the continued hiring of local workers and the development of stronger, safer, thriving communities.

As we serve more Maryland businesses, we look to partner with Economic Development Departments, Government Agencies, Universities, Non-Profit Organizations, Foundations, Grantors, CDFIs, Banks and local anchor institutions to provide a full spectrum of resources to the business community. Our technical assistance, workforce development and entrepreneur training and mentoring are designed to build a more prosperous, safer, more inclusive Maryland.

If you are looking for a tested, award-winning solution that has already produced over 200 graduates since June 2020, we invite you to keep reading.

OPTIONS

We offer completely customizable solutions for business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs and employees. All of our programs are designed to have the greatest impact on the participants and the Maryland economy.

Our programs can be hosted in-person, online, in groups, one-one-one, or self-paced via our online video tutorials. We can also create new sessions for new areas of focus not covered in our standard curriculum.

Our Facilitators and Mentors are entrepreneurs and subject matter experts with years of experience growing profitable organizations and leading thousands of people.

AWARD-WINNING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

We partner with our Founder's management consulting firm, WHC to provide Maryland Business Owners with the best entrepreneurship training program in the region. Our curriculum was written by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs and is taught by entrepreneurs. There is no theory presented. We only provide practical information and solutions to common growth and access to capital challenges.

BELL Members can access the curriculum at no charge through our scheduled cohorts or through self-paced learning via our video library of classes.

WHC has been contracted to deliver this award-winning curriculum for Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Morgan State University, Anne Arundel County and Charles County.

Parts of this curriculum have been taught at various times in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, Maryland Governor's Office, Maryland Small Business Development Center, the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce and many other organizations across the region.

As a fundraising initiative, BELL will partner with interested organizations to provide cohorts and training for target populations. If you are interested in contracting BELL or WHC to lead your technical assistance initiative, please contact Founder Will Holmes at grow@whcusa.com.

IMPACT SINCE JUNE 2020...

Our programs have proven to be effective. In just two years, we have trained over 200 business owners and they have created jobs in their communities, increased their revenues and learned how to obtain capital for their businesses. The impact of our program ripples through communities, creating safer and more prosperous neighborhoods in Maryland.
